The school counseling program at Columbia High School in Columbia, Pennsylvania, includes academic, career, and personal/social counseling. Our office is called the Student Services office. We are located just down the hall from the main office. Click on the links at left to navigate within the website.

Columbia High School is unique in many ways. Since grades 7 - 12 are located in one building, the counselors alternate grade assignments. In this way they get to know their students well over the course of six years. When one counselor has grades 7, 9, and 11, the other has grades 8, 10, and 12. With a population of over 700 students, each counselor is responsible for about 350 students.

To find out more about requirements for graduation and the programs and courses offered at CHS, please look at our Course Selection Guide which is provided with a convenient index. All students are given this guide in the eighth grade to use in planning their career paths.

How do I get in touch with my school counselor?

It's easy! Most of the time you can find the counselors in their office located just past the main office!

Is it all right to come without an appointment if I have a question or concern I think they can help me with?

You can visit whenever you need to, as long as you come with a pass, or after school.
